Outstanding Opportunity for a Architectural Design Engineer to design detailed plans and specs for buildings and other structures while adhering to applicable building codes and budget requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze the design of manufacturing plants and other structures for conformance to building codes and budgets
Develop 3D models for use in the construction process
Use 3D finite element analysis to assess structural stability and other factors
Create detailed drawings in CAD and/or Revit
Utilize BIM technologies to create and analyze data
Understand and evaluate precast concrete components
Collaborate with other disciplines and stakeholders
Requirements
Bachelors in Architectural, Civil, or Structural Engineering, Masters preferred or equivalent work- and industry-related
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE), licensed Structural Engineer (SE) preferred, in state of Illinois plus
3+ years of diverse project experience in the design of buildings
Precast prestressed concrete design a plus
Familiarity with 3D modeling and 3D finite element analysis
Thorough understanding of applicable building codes
Proficiency in CAD and/or Revit
Knowledge of BIM technologies and data analysis
