POSITION OVERVIEW
We are a well-established manufacturing company looking to add more talent to our engineering team.
This role is a hands-on generalist engineering role where you will get exposure to multiple different aspects of mechanical and project engineering. We are looking for someone who has worked with 3D CAD software and either has an engineering technician or some sort of engineering background. You will work both indepedently and collaboratively.
The primary function is as a hand-on project engineer for system's orders. The secondary function will be engineering projects / project management including product improvement, and troubleshooting. An ideal candidate will have excellent problem, diagnostic, troubleshooting and resolution skills.
This position has room for significant growth opportunities within the company.
This is a full time, permanent position onsite in Sanford, NC. Project based travel (domestic) will be required (usually less than 20% but sometimes up to 30%).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Design components for new and existing products
Develop and evaluate product designs to determine if they meet engineering standards and customer specifications
Manage and oversee all aspects of the design, development, and testing process
Propose and develop improvements to existing products and systems
Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve problems and defects in existing products
Prepare and maintain engineering documentation, including product specifications, test plans, schematics, diagrams, and drawings
Assist with project management
QUALIFICATIONS
Two or four year degree is not required but nice to have
Working knowledge of 3D CAD software, such as Autodesk AutoCAD, Inventor, or SolidWorks
Ability to troubleshoot and solve engineering and technical problems
Project management and organizational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
